Striking New Look for Orange County Ad Club
OC Ad Club and Convergence.net interact to create a great new website
The Orange County Ad Club, a chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), will launch its new feature-laden website March 15, 2006. The site was designed and developed by the club’s new Interactive Agency partner, Convergence.net of Aliso Viejo, CA.
More functionality, relevant content and increased user friendliness were the primary objectives, but the new design is also contemporary and better reflects the dynamic nature of the organization, according to Club President, Ian Crockett.
“Providing timely information to our members and making it easier to register and pay for our memberships and events are our primary goals as they relate to the website,” said Crockett. “However, we’re also getting a design and features that reflect the creativity and sophistication of the Orange County advertising community.”
Upgraded functions also include a Job Board that can be accessed by employers and those who want to post resumes, a direct link to the AAF’s Member Benefits, Addy Awards rules and categories and Agency and Member Directories.
“We chose an orange crate label inspired design because we wanted something that spoke to the advertising history and heritage of Orange County,” says Rolando Mendez, Interactive Chair of the club’s Board of Directors. “My hope for the website has always been to have more of a community feel and to provide more useful information beyond just the details of our events to our members and Orange County advertising professionals in general.”

The new website will launch on March 15, 2006 with completely new content, added member benefits and a full complement of exciting new features such as event calendars, membership registration, resume posting, job boards and community activities.
